At 3:05 a.m. on September 7, officers responded to a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the area of Artillery Place and Birmingham Street. The victim reported that he was approached by a man with a firearm in his waistband. The suspect demanded the victim empty his pockets. When a vehicle approached, the suspect fled the area in another vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at Bayers Road and Micmac Street. Officers took the two occupants into custody without incident. The victim was not physically injured in this incident. The matter is still under investigation and is currently being linked to a second attempt robbery call involving a sensory irritant.
