At approximately 7:50 p.m on February 11, 2016, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. Officers learned that three men were inside a residence when two men entered through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspects searched for items to steal. One of the suspects was armed with a conducted energy weapon (CEW) which he used against a 22-year-old man. One of the victims fled the apartment and contacted police. The suspects fled the area before officers arrived on scene. EHS attended the scene, however, the victim refused treatment for minor injuries sustained from the CEW. The area was searched by patrol members and an HRP K-9 Unit, however, no suspects were located. At this time, it is not known what was stolen and police do not believe this to be a random act.

The suspects are described as two white men, approximately 20-years-old, one tall and one short, wearing dark clothing.

The investigation is continuing. Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
