GO# 16-25273 - Robbery

At approximately 11:15 p.m. on February 19, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Bedford Highway. A 26-year-old man informed police that he had been waiting for a bus when he was approached by two men that were not known to him. These men punched the victim and sprayed him with a sensory irritant before stealing his back pack, cell phone and wallet. The suspects fled up Hammonds Plains Road from the Bedford Highway. A HRP K9 Unit searched the area but was unable to locate the suspects. The victim was treated at the scene by EHS paramedics for non-life threatening injuries and was not transported to hospital.  

The suspects are described as 2 white men, both approximately 5 foot 9 inches, weighing approximately 175 lbs, one wearing a red hooded sweater and one wearing a black hooded sweater.  No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation will be conducted by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
