At approximately 9:20 p.m. on January 7, officers responded to the area of Main and Booth Streets in Dartmouth for a head-on motor vehicle collision between a half-ton truck and a small compact vehicle. A 22-year-old female had to be extracted from the compact vehicle by the Jaws of Life and then transported to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening lower body injuries. The 19-year-old male driver of the truck will be facing charges of impaired driving by drugs.
