GO#126228 Police investigate attempt robbery

At 11:30 p.m. on Friday, September 4, Patrol Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 400 block of Herring Cove Rd. A 25-year-old man was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of males dressed in dark clothing. The suspects demanded personal items from the victim and assaulted him but then left without taking anything. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries that were sustained during the incident. A Halifax Regional Police K-9 Unit attended the scene and attempted a track with negative results. Officers in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating this matter. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
