At 6:45 p.m. on November 15, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the area of 370 Pleasant St. According to witnesses at the scene, the pedestrian, a 56-year-old male, was attempting to cross four lanes of traffic on Pleasant St. when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for examination and later released. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. At this time the matter is still under investigation and no charges have been laid.
