Halifax Regional Police is investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred on the evening of Friday, June 13. At 7:09 p.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at Young and Robie Streets. A 26-year-old woman crossing Young St. in a marked crosswalk was hit by a car driven by a 56-year-old woman travelling east on Young St. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was cleared by EHS. The investigation revealed that the pedestrian was in the marked crosswalk and crossing with the light when the accident occurred. As a result, the female driver was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for failing to yield to pedestrian in a crosswalk.
