At approximately 6:50 p.m. on Friday, October 30, Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision between a car and a motorcycle in the intersection of Quinpool Road and Preston Street in Halifax. A motorcycle driven by a 37-year-old man was travelling eastbound on Quinpool Road at Preston Street when he was struck by a car, operated by a 19-year-old woman, that had been travelling westbound on Quinpool Road and turned left onto Preston Street. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A decision on charges under the Motor Vehicle Act will be made upon the conclusion of the investigation which is currently ongoing. Quinpool Road was closed between Preston Street and Robie Street for a period of time but has now been reopened.
