At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, police received several calls from the public in relation to a vehicle in the area of Exhibition Park with several people inside it waving what appeared to be a handgun out the window. Officers with both Halifax Regional Police and RCMP responded to the area, located and stopped the vehicle near Peggy’s Cove and then found two cap guns inside the vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Two 16-year-old male youths and a 17-year-old male youth were arrested in relation to this incident and will be facing charges of mischief and careless use of a firearm or imitation firearm.
