A man faces charges in relation to the double shooting which occurred yesterday, December 27) on Trinity Avenue in Dartmouth.

At 9:21 a.m., police received a report of shots fired in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 0-100 block of Trinity Avenue. A 26-year-old woman was shot in the face and a 27-year-old man was shot in the torso. The woman was transported to hospital by EHS, while the male victim flagged down and entered a passing vehicle, driven by a person unknown to him, and then called 911. Police and EHS met the vehicle at the bus terminal on Nantucket Avenue, from which the male victim was transported to hospital by EHS. Both victims suffered injuries that are described as non-life-threatening.

Two men were arrested yesterday around noon following a traffic stop of a silver SUV at Forest Hills Parkway and Main Street. One man was released without charges and the other man faces numerous charges. Thirty-four-year-old Terry Arthur Downey of North Preston will be remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday, December 30 to face the following charges:
