Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Transit would like to extend warm wishes to all residents for a safe and happy holiday season. Halifax Transit passengers are advised of the following bus and ferry schedules that will be in effect over Christmas and New Year’s:
Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 - Regular bus and ferry service
Christmas Day, Dec. 25 - Holiday bus service, no ferry service
Boxing Day, Dec. 26 - Holiday bus and ferry service
New Year's Eve, Dec. 31 - Regular and extended bus and ferry service; free after 6 p.m. in support of MADD Halifax
New Year's Day, Jan. 1 - Holiday bus service, no ferry service

Details on the free, extended bus and ferry service on New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m. onwards is available online at www.halifax.ca/transit/newyearseve.php. This free and extended service is offered to support MADD Halifax in their mission to stop impaired driving, and to ensure that residents have a safe trip home after ringing in the new year.
