Tuesday, March 17, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Transit continues to monitor the weather forecasts for tomorrow’s storm and a decision will be made by 9 p.m. tonight about bus and ferry service for early Wednesday morning.
Based on the current forecast, the Halifax region is expected to get anywhere from 25 to 35 centimetres of snow starting later tonight. Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning advising people to stay off the roads, if possible, and to expect rapidly changing and deteriorating conditions if you do have to travel.
Updates on individual bus routes are always available by following @hfxtransit on Twitter, which is also streamed online at http://www.halifax.ca/transit. Whenever there are impacts on all Halifax Transit service, the public will be alerted through Public Service Announcements, on Twitter via @hfxtransit and @hfxgov, and on Halifax Transit’s website.
