Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Collision - East Division

Last night at 6:25 p.m., a hit and run collision involving a cyclist and car was reported at Caledonia Road and Main Street in Dartmouth. The man driving the bicycle was driving westbound on Caledonia Road at Main Street. The bike started through the intersection when he heard the car behind him. The car struck the bicycle causing the rider to land on the hood of the car, he then fell off and the car fled the scene. The 40-year-old cyclist was taken to the hospital for an assessment of minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model/late 90’s, beige Toyota Camry and the driver is described as a black man with short, shaved black hair. There was also a black male passenger in the vehicle.
