Halifax Regional Police were called to the 5000 block of Harvey Street in response to a home invasion just after 6:30 p.m. The callers reported that multiple persons forced their way in their residence and stole some items. Police arrived and completed their preliminary investigation and forensic work. At approximately 1:00 a.m., while officers were continuing their investigation offsite, police received another call from the same residents at the same address informing police the suspects had returned and forced their way in the home again.
Officers attended and arrested a 22-year-old Halifax man onscene and another 19-year-old man who attempted to flee after jumping out a second storey window. Both males are currently in police custody and the investigation continues.
