West Division Units responded to the 400 Block of Herring Cove Road in relation to a home invasion shortly after 6:30 pm this evening. After speaking to the complainant he told police that he was in bed when he heard someone trying to force his door in.
As he was exiting his bedroom to investigate the source of the noise he saw two white males entering through his door. The two intruders assaulted the 64 year old man until they were chased off by neighbours who heard the commotion.
The suspects are described as two white males, clean shaven and in their 20’s. One of the males was wearing a black jacket with a hooded collar and had a cane. The second male was wearing a black coat and jeans and had a large knife. The victim in this matter did not suffer any serious injuries and his assailants are not known to him.
The file is currently being investigated by the Integrated General Investigative Section.
