Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Howard Avenue in Shearwater will be closed to vehicle traffic today for emergency repairs to the CN Rail tracks in the area.
Crews are on site now and Howard Avenue is closed between Main Road and Autoport Avenue. The repairs are expected to take one day and the street will reopen at about 4 p.m. this afternoon.
Accommodations will be made for local traffic only and pedestrians will continue to have access to the area during the closure. The municipality and CN regret any inconvenience this closure or the work may cause.
