This morning, Halifax Regional Police Chief Jean-Michel (JM) Blais promoted James Butler, Julia Cecchetto, Lindsay Hernden and Don Moser to the rank of Inspector at a promotional ceremony at City Hall.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to Inspectors Butler, Cecchetto, Hernden and Moser on their promotion,” says Chief Jean-Michel Blais. “We are excited for them to take on their new roles within the Executive Management Team. Increasing the numbers of our management team will allow us to progress the police service and tackle the many strategic and operational priorities that we have set for our future. It will also allow for effective succession management within the management team.”

Please join us in congratulating Inspectors Butler, Cecchetto, Hernden and Moser on this significant accomplishment in their policing careers. We look forward to their leadership in their newly-assigned roles: Inspector Butler is our first-ever Information Management Officer; Inspector Cecchetto is the Divisional Commander for West Division, serving Bedford through to Sambro Loop; Inspector Hernden is the Divisional Commander for Central Division, serving Peninsular Halifax; and Inspector Moser is the Divisional Commander for East Division, serving Dartmouth.
