Halifax Regional Police is pleased to participate in Halifax’s 25th Pride Parade.

Police horses Sarge and Cruise, joined by members of the Colour Guard, are proud to lead the parade which takes place tomorrow beginning at 1:30 p.m. It will start at Cornwallis and Upper Water Streets, travel south on Barrington Street, west on Spring Garden Road, north on South Park Street, onto Bell Road and finish on Ahern Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. Roads will be closed to vehicles to allow the parade to travel along the route.

The parade draws approximately 80,000 people and police encourage anyone attending to consider using public transportation or car pooling to reduce the amount of traffic in the downtown area. Motorists should expect delays and are also reminded that parking is limited; vehicles in violation of parking regulations will be ticketed and possibly towed. We thank citizens in advance for their cooperation and patience.
