Halifax Regional Police is proud to participate in the 27th annual Halifax Pride Parade.

Wave to police horses Sarge and Cruise along with Blue the Crime Fighting Dog and a contingent of officers and civilian employees as they march in tomorrow’s parade starting at 1:30 p.m. The parade begins at the Halifax Dockyard and will move along Barrington Street, turning right onto Spring Garden Road, right onto South Park Street, continuing onto Bell Road and finally turning right onto Ahern Street.

There will be no parking anywhere along the parade route and streets directly on the parade route will be closed to vehicles from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Officers will be in place along the route to help ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators and to keep traffic flowing.

Motorists should expect delays in the area of the parade route and police encourage anyone spectators to consider using public transportation or car-pooling to reduce the amount of traffic in the downtown area.

We thank citizens in advance for their cooperation and patience.
