The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that from Monday (Dec. 16) to Friday (Dec. 20), Eastlink will be installing a new telecommunications line along Kearney Lake Road and Larry Uteck Boulevard. The work will begin on Kearney Lake Road at Parkland Drive and continue along Larry Uteck Boulevard to Broad Street.
Crews will be on site each day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be lane drops at the intersections and traffic will need to be stopped briefly in most, if not all, directions to bring the cable across the road.
Two-way traffic will be maintained as crews make their way along Kearney Lake and Larry Uteck, however lane widths will be reduced. The work area will be moving all week.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.
