Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Transit is pleased to invite residents to a community celebration and sneak peek inside Halifax Transit's newest terminal on Lacewood Drive, which is set to open on Monday, Aug. 24. The free, family-friendly celebration will include a barbeque, face painting for kids, and entertainment provided by our community partners.

Lacewood is one of Halifax Transit's busiest terminals, and the new location features a number of significant improvements for passengers and transit operations: -14 individual bus bays; -comfortable indoor and outdoor passenger waiting areas; -LEED Silver candidate building design; -public washrooms; -bicycle centre complete with bike parking, repair station, and bus bike rack demo; and -accessibility features to improve navigation and access for passengers with mobility challenges.
