The 14th annual CopShop, presented by Halifax Shopping Centre and Halifax Regional Police (HRP), will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, December 12) at 11 a.m. at Halifax Shopping Centre.

For the event, 60 HRP officers/staff will become personal shoppers to 52 local children as they set out for a special shopping spree. Each child will receive a $200 gift card generously donated by Halifax Shopping Centre, a stocking filled with goodies and a new winter coat from Sport Chek. In the spirit of giving, Halifax Shopping Centre will also give each shopping duo a $10 gift card to help pay it forward; the CopShop participant will purchase a gift for a child the same age, which the mall will then donate to the Salvation Army Toy Drive.

Stephanie Carver of Halifax Shopping Centre, HRP Chief J.M. Blais and selected officers and children will be available for interviews during CopShop.
