Man Arrested for Break and Enter - Caxton Close

November 14, at 9:30 p.m. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a break and enter in progress at an apartment building on Caxton Close in Halifax. A tenant of the building witnessed a man breaking in to the coin operated laundry machines. Upon arrival the suspect had already fled the area. At 11:15 p.m. a man matching the suspect’s description was arrested on Vimy Avenue in Halifax. As a result of this arrest and further investigation the suspect is being charged with this break and enter as well as two other break and enters similar in nature (an apartment on Mandeville Court on October 27 and an apartment on Main Avenue on October 27). The suspect, a 50-year-old Halifax man, is currently in police custody and will attend Halifax Provincial Court today to face 3 counts of break and enter and one count of possession of break and enter tools.
