The HRP/RCMP Integrated Financial Crime Unit has charged a man after a year-long fraud investigation.

In May 2012, an investigation was launched after numerous fraudulent Metro Transit passes started to surface around HRM. The investigation culminated with a search warrant executed at a residence on Crystal Drive in Dartmouth on June 4, 2013. Officers seized several items used to produce the fraudulent passes.

Earlier today, a 40-year-old man was arrested without incident in Dartmouth. He is facing four fraud-related charges in connection with this incident. He was released from custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on July 23.
