Matthew Sudds homicide – police request public’s assistance

Investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are requesting the public’s help in locating a vehicle believed to be associated with the homicide of a Halifax man last year.

On October 14 at 12:09 p.m., a woman walking along Africville Road discovered the body of 24-year-old Matthew Thomas Sudds in a ditch. His death was later ruled a homicide.

Matthew was last seen in Halifax by friends on the afternoon of Thursday, October 10. Investigators have determined that Matthew was murdered on Africville Road later that day. Investigators are looking for a vehicle that may be associated with this homicide. They are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a newer model black Dodge Charger, with out of province plates on Africville Road after 6 p.m. on October 10.
