We're pleased to report that Max has been found safe and sound.

Eight-year-old Max Oickle was reported missing to police earlier today. He returned unharmed to his grandparents’ home.

Halifax Regional Police would like to thank the media and the public for their concern and assistance in this matter.

Missing Child - Police Seek Public’s Help

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing child.

Eight year-old Max Oickle was last seen playing outside of his grandparents’ home on Moira Street in Dartmouth today at 10 a.m. Max is visiting from the United States and is not familiar with the area. Officers believe he may be on foot but haven’t been able to locate him.

Max is described as a white boy, 4’6”, 60 lbs. short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt, light blue shorts, black sandals and a Montreal Canadiens ball cap.

There is no information to suggest that Max has met with foul play, however police are concerned for his well-being due to his unfamiliarity with the area. Officers request that anyone with information on his whereabouts calls Halifax Regional Police at (902) 490-5020.
