Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to an open house Thursday, Dec. 3, to discuss improvements to pedestrian and cycling infrastructure on Devonshire Avenue in Halifax.

The municipality’s Active Transportation Priorities Plan recommends installing bicycle lanes on Devonshire Avenue, as well as other changes in that area to improve the safety and walkability of Halifax’s street network. These improvements would be done in conjunction with an upcoming surface rehabilitation project on Devonshire Avenue.

The open house will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Needham Community Centre, 3372 Devonshire Ave., in Halifax. Municipal staff will briefly present the proposal at about 7:30 p.m., and then take questions and gather feedback from those in attendance.
