The Integrated Traffic Unit was pleased to participate in “Operation Impact.” This national public safety initiative was sponsored by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) in support of Canada’s Road Safety Strategy 2015.   As a result of this campaign, that ran October 10-13, 2014, members of the Integrated Traffic Unit checked over 2,800 drivers, issued over 200 Summary Offence Tickets for a variety of motor vehicle violations and charged five drivers with impaired driving under the criminal code.

Halifax Regional Police and Halifax District RCMP support CACP’s goal of making Canada's roads the safest in the world by 2015.
