Earlier today, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Guns and Gangs Unit and the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed several search warrants in HRM. Operation Interloper culminated with the arrest of 11 people and seizure of cocaine and marijuana. This month long investigation targeted street-level drug trafficking in the Halifax area.
The nine men, woman and one male youth (see below), who range in age from 17-61, were arrested without incident this morning. They are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face numerous criminal charges.
Through this operation, HRM Partners in Policing have significantly disrupted the street level drug trade operating in our community. The operation is on-going and additional arrests and charges are anticipated.
Searches were conducted at the following locations:
Apartment in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street, Halifax
Apartment in the 100 block of Evans Avenue, Halifax
Residence in the 2400 block of Auckland Place, Halifax
Residence in the 2400 block of Brunswick Street, Halifax
Residence in the 5400 block of Sunrise Walk, Halifax
