Tuesday, May 12, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal will lift its spring weight restrictions on most roads in the Halifax region starting at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
The department may still have individual roads posted for lower weight to prevent damage to the roadways. The trucking industry and other heavy vehicle operators are advised to obey posted restrictions, as the lower weights will be enforced.
Spring weight restrictions on these select roads and other areas of the province will remain in effect until May 18. For updated information, please visit the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal website.
