Map of work area for pipe bridge.

Beginning on or about Wednesday, January 16th Atlantic Road Construction & Paving Limited (ARCP), on behalf of Halifax Water, will begin preliminary work to relocate water and wastewater pipes that are currently located within the existing Quinpool Road Bridge which crosses the Canadian National (CN) Railway track.

This project will require the installation of a new pipe bridge just north of the existing Quinpool Road Bridge. Preliminary site work will be ongoing until late March and will take place off street in Upper and Lower Flinn Park and CN property (see attached map). There will be some temporary closures of sections of Flinn Park. Road closures will not be required. Occasional lane drops will take place as materials and equipment access the work site. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists can expect delays as materials and equipment access the work site. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
