On March 30, 2019 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Halifax Regional Police attended the 2200 block of Gottingen St., Halifax where approximately 100 protesters had come together for a planned peaceful march for an “end street checks rally”. Police assisted the march by shutting down streets as the march progressed through the downtown area in order to maintain public safety.  The march lasted for approximately 60 minutes.

The protest was peaceful and police encountered no issues with the protesters.  We would like to thank all members of the public for their assistance and patience during this period of traffic interruption.
