Police Continue to Investigate the Murder of Ann Marie Masson

After 27 years, the Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the murder of Ann Marie Masson.

On March 28, 1986, at 1:55 a.m., police responded to 6-2468 Robie Street in Halifax and located the body of Mrs. Masson. It was later determined that she was stabbed to death.

The investigation revealed that the victim lived at 30 Lemon Walk, Halifax at the time of her death. She left her residence at 1500 hours the previous day to visit a friend at 2468 Robie Street, where she was murdered several hours later. One man was charged with the murder; however the charge was dismissed at the preliminary hearing stage. Police believe there are peoples who have information that could result in an arrest and possible charges.
