Police continue to investigate shooting

Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred this morning, November 13, in Bedford.

At approximately 5:25 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the QEII Health Sciences Centre after a victim of a shooting arrived at the hospital. The 29-year-old Bedford man was treated and released from hospital at approximately 12:20 p.m. 

Investigators have spoken with the victim, however, it’s not immediately clear where the shooting took place. Investigators are currently awaiting a warrant to search a residence on Redden Court in Bedford, where the victim is believed to live, to determine if the shooting took place inside or at another location. They are also canvassing the neighborhood and attempting to determine the victim’s movements prior to the shooting.

This investigation is in its early stages and at this time there is no suspect information available. Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who may have information on this shooting.
