Police investigate armed robbery GO#21-158897

On December 24 shortly after 1 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Subway located at 5669 Spring Garden Road, Halifax.

It was reported that a man entered the location, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and the suspect fled the store traveling on foot eastbound on Spring Garden Road. Police Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located. No one was injured in the robbery.

Staff described the suspect to police as being a white man with a tattoo above his right eye, who was 5'7" tall with a thin build who was wearing a black coat with silver reflective near bottom.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
