Police investigate car/crossing guard collision

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a driver involved in a collision with a crossing guard that occurred on January 31 in Dartmouth.

At 8:50 a.m., a 69-year-old crossing guard was assisting several youths at the intersection of Hawthorne Street and Prince Albert Road when he was hit by a vehicle. He sustained minor injuries and the vehicle did not stop. The car is described as a grey Pontiac and there is no description of the driver. This incident was reported to police on February 5 and has been assigned to an officer for follow-up.
