At 3 a.m. on January 16, Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that had just occurred in the 2000 block of Gottingen Street in Halifax. Two males assaulted and knocked unconscious a 25-year-old man and then fled on foot with personal property from the victim. The suspects are known to the victim and were last seen heading north on Gottingen Street. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. A few minutes later, at 3:35 a.m., officers located and arrested the two suspects returning to the scene of the robbery.
The suspects are both from Halifax, a 23 -year-old man and a 32-year-old man, and are both being held for court facing a robbery charge. The 32-year-old is also facing a breach of probation charge.
