Police investigate robbery # GO# 21-124933

Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police Patrol Division along with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax this morning.

On October 9 at approximately 2:35 a.m., a man entered the Needs Convenience store located at 33 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. The suspect went behind the counter and began to fill a bag with packages of cigarettes and demanded the clerk give him money from the till. The suspect left with an undisclosed number of cigarettes and money. There were no injuries to staff.

Patrol officers conducted an extensive search and preliminary investigation, but the suspect has not been located at this time.

The suspect is described to police as being a white man, between the ages of 25-35 years-old, who is approximately 5’8” to 5’10” in height and 150 to 175 lbs in weight with short dark hair, wearing a dark coloured checkered jacket, dark pants and grey sneakers.
