UPDATE: Police Investigate a Stabbing - Dartmouth

Police have a suspect in custody and it is unknown if charges will be laid at this time. Police have released the scene at 214 Main Street in Dartmouth. 

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is in the early stages.

Police Investigate Stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred tonight in Dartmouth.

At approximately 7:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injured person at the East Coast Amusement fair located at 214 Main Street in Dartmouth. Officers located an 18-year-old man suffering from what are believed to be life-threatening stab wounds. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is in the early stages and further information will be provided when it becomes available.

Caledonia Road remains closed to all traffic between Main Street and Roleika Drive to allow officers to investigate the incident.
