On December 1 at 2:56 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a commercial alarm at the Sobeys Express Convenience Store, 5 Ruth Goldbloom Drive, Halifax. Police arrived on scene within minutes of the report and discovered a break and enter had occurred.
The suspect broke the glass door, entered the business and stole cigarettes. The suspect fled the scene in a late model Toyota RAV4 with a spare tire on the back with a white cover. The vehicle had chrome rims and a bug deflector. There appeared to be a passenger in the front seat. The vehicle was last seen heading onto Farnham Gate Road towards Highway 102.
