On September 27 at approximately 4:25 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a retail outlet in the 0-100 block of Washmill Lake Drive, Halifax for a report of security officer who had been stabbed.
The security officer confronted a suspect who was stealing merchandise from the store at which point the suspect turned on the guard stabbing him in the arm. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect fled the area on foot and is described to police as a man, between the ages of 25 - 30-years-old, standing at 6’ feet tall who was wearing blue jeans, sneakers and a baseball hat at the time. The suspect has not been located.
