Police Investigating Robbery - Update

Investigators with the Integrated HRP/RCMP General Investigation Section arrested a 60-year-old Halifax man in relation to the October 17 robbery of the TD Canada Trust on Spring Garden Road. The accused was arrested on October 19 at 8:20 p.m. and remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on October 22.

Police Investigating Robbery

Halifax Regional Police is currently on-scene investigating a robbery.

At 10:30 a.m., police responded to the TD Canada Trust bank located at 5495 Spring Garden Road after a man entered the bank, threatened the staff and demanded cash. No one was hurt and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white, approximately 50-years-old, 5’5” with a medium built. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark puffy jacket and dark winter tuque.

At this time, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are in the early stages of the investigation.
