Police Request Public’s Assistance

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance in connection with an assault that took place Friday night in Clayton Park.

At 10:43 p.m., police responded to an assault in the 0-100 block of Chelton Woods Lane. It was reported that three boys, two aged 14 and one aged 15, were walking in the area when a man came up from behind and punched one of the boys. He and one of the other boys started to run when they noticed the third boy was not with them and was being assaulted by the man. As they returned the man ran to a car and fled the area.

The boys were unable to provide any information about the car and could only say the man was white, 5’9” and in his mid to late twenties. There is information that there were some people in the area at the time of the assault and police are interested in speaking to them.
