Police Request Public's Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect

The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery at the CIBC earlier this afternoon.

At 3 p.m., police responded to the CIBC located at 1809 Barrington Street after a man entered the bank, threatened the staff and demanded cash. No one was hurt and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white, 45 to 50-years-old, 6’2” and 220 lbs. At the time of the incident he was wearing a long dark coat, blue bucket/fishermen’s hat, brown scarf and sunglasses.
