Police request public’s assistance with theft investigation

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance identifying two suspects in relation to the theft of a commercial cooling unit that occurred last fall in Dartmouth.

At approximately 10:50 a.m. on October 4, 2020 an air-cooled chiller was stolen from the Nova Scotia Community College Ivany Campus at 80 Mawiomi Place in Dartmouth.

The unit is described as a Trane 10-ton air-cooled chiller, pale green-gray, 550 lbs. and approximately 53” long, 40” wide and 43” high.

The two male suspects were driving a black Ford pickup truck with red markings that was towing what appears to be a wooden trailer.

Investigators are releasing a photo of the suspects and the truck. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects or the incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
