UPDATE: Tyler Phillip Dewolfe, 31, of Dartmouth has been charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation. He will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today.

On August 22 at approximately 11:57 p.m., Halifax Regional Police located a man in the 0-100 block of Pinecrest Drive, Dartmouth, with an injury from an edged weapon. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Shortly after, police arrested a man for assault with a weapon. Both men are known to one another. The General Investigation Section are currently investigating.
