Police Attempting to Identify Potential Witnesses

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying three potential witnesses to the assault that resulted in the death of 26-year-old Kaylin Todd Diggs.

On August 11 at 3:49 a.m., police responded to a disturbance in the area of Argyle and Sackville Streets. Upon arrival, officers located Kaylin Diggs lying on the ground. He was transported to hospital where he passed away a short time later. An autopsy concluded he died as a result of injuries sustained in the assault and has ruled his death as a homicide.

Investigators believe there were many people in the area when the incident occurred. We are asking everyone who was there who hasn’t provided a statement or their personal information to police to contact us. We are also releasing pictures of three women we believe were present when the assault took place. Investigators are interested in speaking to these women to determine what they may have observed.

Police are asking these women, or anyone with information about their identity or this incident, to contact police at 490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip - Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
