Police seek public’s assistance in assault investigation

Halifax Regional Police is releasing photos of a person of interest in an assault investigation and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man.

On October 11 at approximately 12:30 a.m. police responded to an assault in-progress in the area of Argyle and Grafton streets in Halifax. Several people assaulted a man and then fled the area on foot.

Investigators obtained video of a man who was in the area at the time of the assault. The man is described as in his twenties, approximately 6 ft, thin build with short hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white sweater over a white t-shirt, white sneakers and black jeans with holes in the knees.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the identity of the man or who may have video from the area to contact police at 902-490-5016.
