Police seek public’s help identifying suspects in an assault

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in an assault that occurred in Dartmouth on Monday evening. 

On September 14, at 7:42 p.m., officers responded to an assault that took place on Lakefront Road.  A 25-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when he attempted to pass a group of five male youths who were walking in front of him.  As he was passing, he was struck in the back of the head by one of the males in the group.  As the victim got in front of the group, he was struck a few more times. A witness in the area yelled for the group to stop, at which time the suspects fled on foot.  The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention and no items were taken from him.

The suspects are described as five black males approximately 17-18 years old. Detailed descriptions are available for two of the suspects.  One suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks with yellow highlights, wearing red pants. The other suspect is described as a black male with short hair, wearing a blue sweater.
