Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in relation to an assault that occurred outside a Halifax Transit bus on December 31, 2015 in Dartmouth.

At 11 a.m. officers responded to a report of an assault on Penhorn route number 66 bus that was parked at the Penhorn Mall Terminal. After boarding the bus, a man abruptly pushed past a female passenger as she was proceeding down the aisle. The driver asked the man to exit the bus which resulted in a verbal argument. The man was with a female companion who kicked the driver in the legs when he and the male suspect fell to the ground. The man and the woman left the terminal on foot headed towards Gaston Road. The 47-year-old male bus driver suffered non-life threatening injuries but declined to be assessed by EHS.
